Assertion Analysis #4

       The general assertion made by Tupac is that this is what society gonna be when it comes to places like America. More specifically, Tupac suggests that there will be inequality judgement in this era, as shown in the passage, the rose gets good judgement than the ghetto kid.
       He writes,"...you will marvel at just seeing the rose grow through concrete. So why is that when you see some ghetto kid...". This shows that there is some judgement between the two, but the rose gets a positive remarks, while the kid has a different perspective. People will have a different perspective on each, where it will be different from the rest.

       This assertion is supported by Tupac's use of imagery. For example, he describe the rose that was popping out of the concrete, and told it out that it was beautiful, and somewhat contracts to the dirtiest kid on the ghetto. By using imagery, he is able to show them what society has become, and when there was this effect as it continues. 

Assertion Analysis #3

       The general assertion made by Elie Wiesel is that he wanted us the stand up on something and do more due to the indifference in the society. More specifically, Wiesel suggests that the meanings that are meant to be opposite are not becoming a driving force, so for that, he want us to side up with something rather than doing nothing.
       He writes,"the opposite of love is not hate, it's indifference. The opposite of beauty is not ugliness, it's indifference." In this passage, Wiesel seems to be suggesting that each of the old definition of the 2 different words don't matter anymore. as a result of this, you have to do something about the old definition, otherwise, you're the problem.
       This assertion is supported by Wiesel's use of syntax, and alliteration. For example, he show his use of alliteration for the word "indifference" as his choice, as you can see the repeats of the word. He also used syntax-as he shows the 2 words that are antonyms as an example. by using syntax and alliteration, he is able to tell them to do more as the meanings don't mean anything currently!

Assertion Analysis #2

       This general assertion made by Bill Bryson is that America is so perfect that we are actually embarrassed about it, and so for that, we need to rebel.  More specifically, Bryson suggests that we have all the so called things that make America "perfect", such as having the friendly folks, and nukes.

       He writes, "the most tastiest foods in ample portions, the largest cars..." Showing all these perfect things from America. In this passage, Bryson seems to be suggesting that we need to rebel after all this experience, due to how America is so perfect, we need to take action.
       This assertion is supported by Bryson's use of syntax, and irony. For example, he used syntax to describe things that are perfect in america. He has also used irony. There, he's saying that we have all the so called perfect things, and so becomes the best than all the other countries. In reality, there are bad things that occurs in America at the same time. By using syntax, and irony, he is able to push his message on why America is not perfect entirely. In other terms, he is saying that overall, we were still not satisfied.

Assertion analysis #1

       The general assumption made by John Green, shows that he was mocking the American Dream. More specifically, Green suggests that the boy came all the way from Korea to America, just to have an American Dream of having cheerleader sex. 

       He writes, "my parents has sacrificed so much for this dream!" In this passage, Green seems to be suggesting that the American Dream can be anything as you work hard. This assertions is supported by Green's use of satire. For example, he was joking about the American Dream, showing that the parents has sacrificed for the boys life for this.

       By using satire, he is able to mock the American Dream, and even prove it it litteraly that it can be anything for anyone.
