The general argument made by Oscar Wilde in his quote is that disobedience is important for every human life. More specifically, Wilde argues that Disobedience is the reason why we have good progress through the future. He writes,"Disobedience, in the eyes of anyone who has read history, is man's original virtue." This quote shows that he believes that disobedience is what drives the society forward.
In my view, Wilde is right because its has helped shaped the society from centuries. More specifically, I believe that disobedience is the reason how in the current years, it was better than in the 1700's. For example: the government was shaped to become less corrupted, slavery is abolished, and so on. Therefore, I believed that disobedience is good.
